Most people describe the feeling as uncomfortable at first. Some people are fine with the sensation while others struggle. We do apply anesthetic after the initial pass. Appointment times vary based on the amount of strokes a client needs. The average appointment lasts about 3 hours.
You can resume most regular activities immediately after your procedure. There are certain activities which you must avoid for up to 10 days post procedure such as vigorous exercise, swimming, and sun tanning. Your artist will go over this list with you along with your after care instructions.
Scabbing can occur, however, following your after care instructions diligently will greatly reduce the occurrence of scabs or peeling.
Retention depends on two factors. The first is your skin type. People with very oily skin usually have less retention than those who do not have oily skin. The second factor which affect retention is the way you care for your brows. Applying sunscreen and avoiding harsh exfoliants and chemical treatments are important if you want your color to last longer. After your initial procedure you will come back in 4-6 weeks for the perfecting session. After that the average brows last about a year. Although some brows last longer, is strongly recommended to have a touch up annually.
